I suggest you not change your anchor point.
As for changing draw length on bow equal to the length of loop you use; some say yes, some say no, that they have not noticed any difference. Therefore, I guess whether you need to change your draw-length setting on your bow depends on who you ask or what you read, and may just be an individual preference.
I cannot tell you what I have personally experienced, because regardless of the string loop I have always set my draw-lengths 1" less than my actual DL, and I shorten the threaded rod on my releases so that I do not feel that the bowstring and loop is floating around in front of my anchor. Even that (changing release length) may be just a comfort thing for me.
However, I did have to reset my nock height positions on my bows because of being behind the nock rather than beneath.
