Default RE: idler wheel?

If you can't take it out with the split harness, then it's likely a limb/pocket problem..

Pocket/limb twist problems on Bear/Jennings split-limb bows are unfortunately fairly common...every one I've owned eventually had an issue... My Epic was one of my all time best shooting bows, but I went through two sets of limbs and two sets of pockets

The shorter limbs are less susceptible to this problem however, so it's quite possible that just one side of the harness that has creeped. However the intermittent condition you stated would have me tearing the bow apart and looking in more detail...pockets, limbs, bushings/bearings, etc.

We had a /Bear Jennings recurve split limb bow in the shop last week where the bottom limb/s looked like a pretzel. We could'nt even get center shot on it without pulling the rest so far in the vanes would get torn off by the cables/sight window.

Guy still wanted the bow set-up though...said it "shot great" Wasted his money.
