It depends on the type of season. Here in Iowa early in the season the best place to be is on heavily traveled trails. Most of the big bucks are in the corn and you need to get between where they are bedding and the corn. Alot of the big boys lay in the corn though. When the rut hits, it is good to hunt close to rubs and scrapes that appear to be freshened on a daily basis. NOT RIGHT ON TOP OF THEM THOUGH!
