I understand that. We should, and I believe do take all deer mortallity into the equation now (roadkill, crop damage, hunting, etc). We don't do it as accurately as it "should" be done IMO though. Our figures for the deer harvest alone is a WAG at best.

My remark was toward the concept you were eluding to of "near-real-time" reporting and adjusting of harvest numbers. In PA I think that would be an unrealistic goal. But do we need to addres the concept to begin with?.....sure.
