Default RE: 7mmRemMag pet load?

ORIGINAL: Steven Ashe I got a really good price on a Tikka M695 in 7mmRemMag. Found this nearly new rifle on AuctionArms. Appears to have been fired very little. Any pet loads to recommend?
Please note that the 7mm Remington Magnum is one of those cartridges that have been emasculated by recently-published loading data. Much recent data places it firmly in the 7X57mm Mauser performance class!!

My two best loads for my 7 Mag., used in a 26" barrel Ruger No. 1B, and may be too hot for your rifle! In other words, approach them from at least 5% below, and with due caution, if you want to try them. Both these loads shoot into 1" @ 200 yards from my rifle:

(This particular group was shot using 68 grains of old N205 powder, but the accuracy results are comparable to the 7828 load. The MV of this load was 3070 FPS.)

A. 140-grain Nosler Partition/71.5 grains H4831/WW cases/Fed 210 primers. MV 3350 FPS This load really tears up a lot of meat if it hits wrong at close range!!

B. 175-grain Nosler partition/70 grains IMR 7828/WW cases/Fed 210 primers. MV 3050 FPS. This is my all-around load for all game from elk on up. I also use it for short-range deer hunting due to less meat damage.
