Calling Contest Victory
I won the youth division of a local turkey calling contest today. It's the 2nd year in a row that I've entered, didn't do very well last year, I was pretty nervous, I was over the butterflies today. I decided to go with a friction call again. I used my Blodgett Tough Country slate over glass, it's a really wonderful sounding call, super easy to pull sound from it. By the way, Denny Gulvas' son, Brian, placed first in the senior division. He's got to be the best caller I've ever heard, it was a treat just to hear him call.
