Well it looks like that tree and Bambi huggers have gotten thier way for a while.. THe proposed MD bear hunt is now officially off...for a while atleast. The Governor may and most likely will over rule the commitee that made the decision 12 in favor to stop the hunt and 7 in favor of the hunt.

As a former resident of Swanton MD in Garrett county I can personally atest to the need for the hunt. It was not uncommon for me to have bears using the indoor/outdoor carpet on my front deck to scratch thier backs. The worst part is that many of then showed little or no fear of humans... a dangerous situation for both animals and people.

MD is a wacko state anymore... Crazy gun control and overall stupidity in goverment is one of the reasons I left.
