Default RE: Speaking of the "PLOTMASTER" planter.

Last year I bought a IH 4 row corn planter - at about $500. Its very used, but did work well. I also bought a heavy duty PTO funnel spreader for three point hitch - used at $150. This was a great buy and we've used it for planting clover, oats, and sreading lime and fertilizer - it holds about 300 lbs of fertilizer and the rate of application is easily adjusted - even for white clover. We picked up used drags, and disks for $50.00 each - not three point hitch and had a real old cast iron cultipacker given to us if we would haul it away.

It'll be nice not having to lay out the $$ for equipment this year - though we still could use a good set of three point hitch discs and a better plow (ours is a 2 bottom IH 3 pt hitch).

Don't be afraid to knock on a farmer's door and asking if they have old equipment for sale. Most have equipment they upgraded and the dealers wouldn't take in their old equipment, this is how we got most of ours.
