I have the 2 shot and love the thing! I believe the noise issue you refered to is upon connecting it to the string/loop. I had the same concern. I have found that when you press the saftey to lock it on, if you just put you index finger on the trigger then squeeze the saftey to lock it on the string, you will get zero noise. I do it now without realizing it after a little practice. I don't notice any noise on release, so I'm just guessing the noise you are talking about is putting the release on the string. Give it a shot, no pun intended
