I am not familiar with all 50 states' regulations, nor do I care to go the website of every conservation department and "check up" on you or anyone else in an attempt to implicate someone. I would think most states' seasons are over at this point, but I'm not sure. If Minnesota's season lasted that long, I was quite sincere in my statement about moving there; the longer seasons bowhunting offers are the reason many of us took up the sport.
And what of your statement about trying to amuse the "ethically honest hunter." Are we to infer that only "ethically honest" hunters would ever make the same mistake you did in shooting that buck, or do you mean that I should try being "ethically honest"? Or that only the "ethically honest" would find amusement in your tale?
