Ebay is not a bad place to purchase goods, as mentioned the rule of thumb is read the feed backs. I myself have a ebay store that I sell items being that I'm a wholeseller of goods.
Auctions can be costly to us sellers believe it or not, but you have to honor whatever the winning bid is and maintain positive feedback. IMO, FYI I'm listed under MrBethea on ebay.
