Default RE: korean food

oh joel your wrong.

me and my round eye wife lived in the vill!
had a korean landlord in his building.
i also had the heat in the floor, all tile bathroom that you on some occasions had to smell the methane ripping out of the drains, little frig,no oven.
i lived right out there with them.rice paddies on two sides off the building.
and you talk about kimchee have you seen them when they get the cabbage?a mini truckload, they cut it up , and then put in pots and sealed them. they spiced it up of course.
AND BOY when they bust the top off one of them pots after fermenting for a couple of months WHEW!!!
yep used to buy stuff at the corner store(for those that havent been to korea i dont have time to explain)on weekends when i didnt want to go on base.
and yes i have had seaweed ,roll up some rice, maybe beansprout kimchee and not to bad. the only thing we avoided was the water .we got our drinking water on post. not to many people can say they have toted a five gallon jug of water on a ten speed bikes back rack(you had to have one for water ,gro,clothes,etc...)about four or five a week.
i know what your going through brother and someday you WILL look back and have an appreciation for your life that others dont have.
there are probably a few things WE experienced that you aren't. but thats best. we were older and dumber.you remember the soju question? well it's a rice based liquer that will loop your world. you never know what the proof is going to be, so you dont know how drunk your going to get.anyway dont try it,bad headache.
enjoy joel as bad as i talk about korea, ENJOY!<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>
