Default Carter 2 shot release for hunting

Hi guys,

Finally put together my bow and I am pretty happy with my set up. Just really frustrating having a good bow etc and only being able to site in the 10, 20 and 30 yard pins - the other two will have to wait until I can shoot better.

The purpose for me getting a bow is for hunting (yes, it will spend a lot of time on the range as well). I chose the Carter 2 shot - good build quality, nice thumb safety, comfortable and can set the sensitivity. I have since read that it is a good release, but too noisy for hunting (I must confess that they might have a point....). Am I wasting my time learning to shoot with this or has anyone used one of these for hunting? Also - lots of shiny surfaces on what should be a camo release......

Any recommendations?

Cheers,

Greg
