I would go with a 45/70 . frizz is right it is more versatile then the .450 . If you dont handload the buffalo bore or garrett rounds will rock your world. or you can use all the way down to cowboy loads . The remington rounds are very lite recoil and shoot 405 gr. bullet. good for starting out. PMC makes good rounds with lots of punch (300 gr.). Have fun with it!!
