I have constructed several platform tower hunting stands 16ft high. I built them solid! Each one weighs about 500lb. We moved them into the woods with a tractor and tipped them up. You would need the hulk and superman to move them.

The platform is 4ft square, and we put galvanized pipe for a railing. Then we wrap the top in camo, and it works great as a two seater, especially with kids.
