Default RE: how manny g.p.i. for hunting?

My total arrow weight is 449.58g. My shaft is 29.75". Total grains per inch 15.12g.

I consider this to be middle of the road for hunting arrow weight. My set up is with a carbon arrow. Guys shooting aluminum shafts may be upwards of 18g per inch.

Grains per pound is a better way to calculate a weight to shoot deer. Someone shooting a 30 inch arrow at 50lbs generaly won't be nearly as heavy as someone who shoots 30 inch arrows at 74lbs due to a stiffer spined arrow weighing more.

6 gpp is suficient
