You could consider several options. There are aimpoint scopes with little to no magnification. For a variable I would go with something like 1-4. I have a Bushnell Banner 1.5-4.5, dawn to dusk model that I like for the money. For a straight power, I would go 4 or under. I like 2.5, wide angle.
75 yds isn't far, so the magnification isn't critical. It's the precision that you can aim with, and the fact you can more quickly decide whether a buck is or is not the one you want to shoot.
