Some think I'm nuts but when things get slow on warm afternoons I have taken my arrow off my bow and then used it to smack and tick the other shafts in my quiver and hit the limb on my bow. Just generally make a racket. I have brought bucks in too many times using this technique to be a coinsidence. Unfortunately I have not brought in any mature bucks but alot of 1.5 bucks. One time I brought in three bucks and they stood there for a while and then started sparring. The biggest one was a 2.5 year old 9 point. I couldn't get a shot at him. He was always behind the little ones or facing straight at me or behind a tree. It was fun though. I have had bucks come running to me when using my old climber. It makes a hell of a racket and must sound like sparring from far off. They would catch me half way up with no bow (on ground).
