Ah, a nice high tention thread, which is what usually happens when one bow company is touted as better than the others.

I've never owned a Mathews, but I shot many of them and for the most part have liked them. I'm certain they will keep their owners very happy, but not more so than the bows, from Martin, PSE, Diamond, Hoyt , etc.
One thing for sure, there is no "best bow" for everyone. There are simply bows that are best for a particular person's preferences. It takes a lot of bow testing to figure this out. However, unless you've shot every model from every manufacturer before you purchase, you won't know the answer to that dilemma either. It's not that you won't like your choice (everyone does, at least for a little while), it's just that you won't have enough information to even know what's best for you.
