A kids plastic sled combined with a tree stand harness so the weight of the drag is postioned low around your hips is a great combination. I usually clean the deer, wrap it in a small tarp (4 x 6), bungee it to the kids sled,(the big ones don't fit real good but it still is worth it) and attach the drag rope to the head/antlers/feet. If you have help so much the better...As said earlier, you don't need snow to have the sled be a huge assist.
