Default First Flinter Yahoo

Once again I got out of control, I called Traditions show room and was looking for a second Trapper Flintlock pistol and sure enough they had just got one. Went to the show room and it had a 1/16 inch hair line scratch on the lower barrel I mean you really had to look to find it. That was good for a 20% discount so of course I bought it. Don’t know how I am going to hide it from the better half since it will go on the wall below the Pennsylvanian. I join the other recent newbies since I have never shot or even watched a Flinter go bang. I am going to shoot it this weekend so any TIPS will be greatly appreciated. Plan to use 30 grains of 777. Could not get ffff for the pan. Seems like some other areas insurance and other costs have driven gun shops to drop BP as noted on another post Pyrodex and 777 are different stuff and most shops carry it. Have a store to try today. What are the options here with ffff. I am real excited to join the Flinter world. I just heard about the super flint lock on the other post Traditions went to and have to get home to take a look. Hoppe it is the upgrade Does any one know when they switched. The Manufacture date stamped on the barrel is 2003
