Strength alone is not the primary consideration for deciding what draw-weight and draw-length one should shoot; especially when picking up a "stick" for the first time.
In fact; pick the wrong draw-weight or an uncomfortable draw-weight in a recurve or longbow and you might find yourself a bit humbled. Compound the wrong draw-weight choice with the wrong length of recurve/longbow, you might start feeling a bit on the puny side.
