Default RE: powder vs. pellet

I have been using pre-lubed and pre-cut Traditions patches. Shot the Traditions 2000 carbine Hole in the stock on Sunday and had mixed results. My main objective was to get a first shot bull at 50 yards and I did with only bore liquid and dry patches to ready the barrel. I alternated 12 shots between 50 yards and 100 yards. The 50 yard was a 2-3” group with 3 of 6 tight in the 1’ bull including the all so important first. I am glad I got a bull without fouling the barrel so I don’t have to clean the ML after each days hunt. Any way the 100 yard remains elusive. I dropped from 2 50 gain pellets to 3 30 grain pellets to lessen the charge. Still have a 8 – 10 inch pattern at 100 yards This is really beginning to annoy me. If you remember I seem to have this problem with 3 different MLs. Just to suit my ego I got out the 270 and drilled the bull at 100 yards????
