Default RE: Hunting opportunities in OK

If in southeast Oklahoma, anywhere in Pushmata County would be a good place to look into. This is apparent by Antlers, Oklahoma advertising itself as "the deer capital of the world". Try Honobia Creek WMA and Three Rivers WMA. These particaluar WMAs require a $16 resident ($25non-resident) land access permit, however. I have had several friends that have had success at these locations.
My problem is that most of the land near me in Choctaw County is being bought up by pesons no longer allowing hunting or fishing unless hog hunting or crow hunting during pecan season ( I live on a pecan farm so I have all the crow shooting I require). The guy that bought bought my dad's 120 acres before he passed away no longer allows fishing or hunting on it. I have been hunting the public land around Hugo Lake the last few years but during general firearms season a person cannot sneeze without hearing "Bless you" from ten other hunters. [&o]
Kiamichi Park, located on Hugo Lake, (Archery Only) has some good sized deer but but there are several people hunting it and there are antler size restrictions. I know that place is infested with good sized deer as I worked there for a year and a half in 1998- 1999.
