This will be my third year using a trap door. This is actually my second one, after a year, my first one got screwed up and would stay up. Other then that, it has worked great for me. It has always done its job and greatly improved my groups. No cables in the way either. I have Thought about switching to a drop-away rest with a cable though, because it really scares me to think that if the trap door ever decides that it doesn't want to stay up, there is nothing i can do about it. I am SOL. At least if you are using one with a cable, you should be able to fix it in your stand.
I guess until it fails me, I am going to stick with it. It serves its purpose very well
