Thanks triple but I didn't mean to imply it didn't come in wood and thought the original poster would check that one out on his own. But the Encore's unique shape holds very well in my shoulder pocket but only in the walnut version. I only suggested he try it out and compare the two and not just order one mail order blindly. I have a neighbor who owns the synthetic Encore and he agrees that my walnut felt better and is thinking about ordering a new buttstock.
