z28, I know a fair number of guys sporting the Elite on top of 06'.

Forgot to mention buy yourself good mounts and rings. I only use Leupold rings and never had a stitch of problems. I have seen guys buy new scopes b/c of POI shift only to put on the same rings and continue to experience problems. Rings/mounts are not always talked about or factored but IMHO are huge factor and worth a few extra dollars!
