Default RE: ???Best Mechanicals???

I've shot about 14 deer with mechanicals.I never lost a deer due to one but the performance was very inconsistant.I've killed a bunch with Wasp jackhammers and the results were usually devistating. However, twice had had nasty tracking jobs and both times I had broken blades.I killed a couple deer with Rocket sidewinders with good results.I killed three bucks with Rocket steelheads and broke blades all three times and the deer all went farther than usual.I think these would be good broadheads but the blades are dull and weak in my experience.I killed one deer with a two blade spitfire with good results.I've since stopped experimenting with mechanicals and started shooting Slick tricks two years ago. These broadheads penetrate very well, hold up excellent and seem to do more damage than they should.I think there's a place for mechanicals but I just feel better with a quality fixed blade.Ever since the dropaway's hit the market,I've had no problem getting perfect bh flight at speeds approaching 300 fps.I'm shootong 299 fps and can get Wasp bullets, muxxy 90 gr and slick tricks to all shoot at the same point of impact.I think tyhey're all good broadheads but I love those slick tricks.
