Of those two you mentioned, I would take the Omega. I would get a .50 caliber since that is the one that I think will do the best job on no matter what you hunt. Both are great rifles. Personally I think the Encore looks like the devil. I like the looks of the Omega. In fact I bought a Black Diamond XR and without a doubt it is a great shooting rifle, but there are times I wish I had spent a little more and got the Omega.

Thompson Center has a great warranty. The Omega is a long range shooter for sure. Load 100 grains and any T/C projectile and I think your in business. There are also some other sabots out there that work great in the Thompson Center rifles.
