I like your idea NVMIKE, and I would support it (same price for tags but keep the 90/10 split).

I believe that this thing will swing the other way, real fast, and it will be the guys like fieldmouse who will be complaining because NR wont have the right to hunt. I personally hope that doesn't happen because I too would someday like to go on an out of state hunt to say, CO or MT. I just can't afford it right now.
????

Why would you charge the same for Non-residents? That would make it swing the wrong way. Cost is the deterent. You all have made a lot of assumptions here and all I've tried to do was bring it back to reality. I've tried to get you to focus on the numbers that matter. Those are the applications for tags. Thats it. The numbers of residents vs. elk population only tells me Az won't be my first choice if I want to go elk hunting. In fact I've set up connections in Idaho to go. Research your application numbers. They won't change dramatically from year to year, with or without this ruling. If 90% of applications are residents then the output of the lottery will be 90% resident tags.
