I agree with the others. You should have no problem rotating the module around to a different hole provided the set screw is removed. Heck, (Though I don't recommend it) you could take the module off of the cam with the set screw removed.
I would take it back to the dealer to have him look at it. It is possible that you have a burr on the inside of the module which is causing difficulty with the rotation.
