I've seen both cases..speed loss and speed gain...depends on where you put them and how much vibe/recoil the individual setup has.

But it's usually only a couple of FPS either way...shouldn't cause a 2" drop at 30 yards. Are you positive the buss cable or string is not contacting them in their forward motion?
