I'm seriously considering buying, exclusively for turkey hunting, a Tristar Diana or Charles Daly Maxi-Mag semiautomatic 12 guage shotgun with 3.5 inch chamber because of their light weights (6.750-6.875 lb.), low costs (~$500), and generous repair warranties. However, I don't want to make a mistake, particularly with limited funds. I would be grateful for input from anyone who has experience with, or other knowledge of, Tristar and/or Charles Daly S/A shotguns. I am not concerned about the "kick" and really want a semiautomatic gun weighing 7 lb. or less with a full 3.5 inch chamber. Does anyone know of any other guns that meets these two criteria? Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks.
