As mentioned, there are alot of good quality choices in b-heads. Personally THE best heads that I've found are the Rocket Steelheads. These heads are the most accurate, hardest hitting, deepest penetrating b-heads I have EVER found. I've tried many dozens of different heads and nothing has compared to these little monsters!!! You've got to atleast take a serious look at 'em and see why many will suggest the same head. For the record, I've taken nearly 20 whitetail with the Steelheads and some of these bucks have exceeded 300# yet not ONE has taken more then 60 yards on me!!! That's an impressive track record if I do say so myself.
Once a long time Muzzy shooter, I must toss may hat in the ring for the Rockets. I prefer the smaller offerings to enhance penetration. The 100 grain Steelhead would be my choice for an internal component shaft, although I use the Rocket Wolverine 3P on my pultruded carbons. The 3P weighs 75 grains, have an inch and 1/8 cutting diameter when deployed and fly like darts. A pultruded shaft uses an outsert, that weighs about 35 grains all by itself. Hanging a 75 grain head on that brings the total weight up to 110 grains. This gives my completed arrow great F.O.C. for magnificent flight properties. Better still, they blow through deer like shooting an air filled sack, taking ribs with them on the way in and out. All with only a 62 pound draw bow. They are tuff as nails and IMO just can't be beat.
