You still haven't told us why it was OK to go ahead and kill 6 of 7 BB's while you claim to believe that the higher BB kill is a problem. Did you intentionally set out to kill BB's in complete opposition to your stated beliefs or are you and your group simply not committed enough to your beliefs to inconvenience yourselves by taking the time to be sure about what you were killing?
I have explained my position on numerous occassions but apparently you either can't comprehend that or simply refuse to accept. The simple answer is that where I hunt, controling the herd is much more improtant that creating trophy buck. There is no problem with the breeding rate or breeding ecology , the problem is the herd is to prolific.
The higher BB harvest is only a problem for those that want AR to succeed . The BB harvest has no negative impact on the health of the herd ,but it does effect the number of 1.5 buck that can be saved by AR and it also reduces the harvest of 1.5 buck.
Our group is committed to controling the herd for the benefit of all the farmers and home owners in the area , which is something that doesn't seem to concern you at all, since you prefer to add more over wintering deer to an overpopulated herd. Controling the herd in this area means harvesting any legal deer that presents the opportunity for a clean kill and that is what we do. It is legal, ethical and the best thing to do for the health of the herd and for the future of hunting in PA. Remember, Alt said that if hunters can kill enough doe, he would find a way to make sure enough deer are killed. I prefer hunters do the job rather than sharpshooters.
