Default Are You a REAL Bowhunter or a TV Star??

So here's my problem with the TV stars. Everytime they stick, blast, drop an animal in it's tracks... they have to walk(sneak) up with the camera rolling(only we know it's the 4th or 5th take) and poke it in the eye with their rifle barrel or bow cam. Sometimes they even get dangerous and poke it with an arrow.

It was all started about 6 or 7 years ago by Jackie Bushwhacker and now they all have to do it. Now I know these boys have shot just as many or more animals than I have. IF after trailing for 50-200 yards and arriving 30-120 minutes after you shot you can't tell the animal is dead.... you need to shoot it again. Joking of course because... WE ALL KNOW IT'S DEAD.

But, just in case it's not... do real hunters gently probe or do you do what I do and give it a swift kick in the butt or back or head or whatever part is near you. Really if in doubt we all probably just whack it again. I'm just waiting for someone to gently nudge a whitetail someday with an arrow, held palm up, and have the deer blow out of his bed, flip the arrow and watch it stick in the guy. I'm really tired of watching the same view of this happening with the guy approaching from one directions, the camera from the other and the "OH, there he is".... tap tap.... "He's down"!!!

So are you a TV star or a kick 'em in the butt.
