It isn't one of the choices you mentioned, but I'd stack my Savage in 30.06 up against any of the two you gave us to choose from.

It's my gun and I love it. Nobody else can pick "your gun" you have to pick it yourself. It's a very personal matter, what I may find indespensible, you may find annoying... Whatever your choice treat it well, learn to shoot it with deadly accuracy and it won't matter what brand it is. It will be your gun and you will love it.
