New bow 29.5" draw, shooting exact same arrow doesn't appear any faster.
Probabley not, but I'll bet it's quiet.
If you want more speed drop your arrow weight down about 100 grains or so. that should give you about 30 more feet per second.
Check your buddy's arrow weight.
