RE: Chuck Adams
For those who think they could do what Chuck has done, well what's holding you back? Lack of money has never stopped anyone with real desire. All it takes is a plan, and the drive to carry through. This kind of success does not come by accident, nor does it come to just anyone with money who wants it. It only comes to those who are dedicated beyond normal. It comes to people who are obsessed with their goals. Their personality doesn't matter, but it's likely to be one that sets aside being social in hunting camp, to one who is single minded in the pursuit of their goal on that hunt. Imagine if you were constantly being judged (and written about) by your exact reaction to every situation with every person in a public. I imagine every person in the world would have some bad things written about them.
Extremely successful people are not that way, because of the breaks, their money, luck or any other tiresome cliche you hear all the time - and I mean all the time. As for ego, every superstar has a huge one. It's a by-product of the success. Some are just better at hiding it than others. So what?
The jealously is so saturated in some of these posts, it drips from them like fat off a steak on a hot fire! You know, everyone here is probably capable of walking across this country on foot. It requires no special skills and anyone with enough money can do it. How many people do you know with the dedication to accomplish this easy feat? Yes, what Chuck Adams has done, could have been done by many of you. But, it required greater than normal desire, dedication, planning, persistance and practice than anyone else has been willing to do. When I see this type of amazing feat, I respect it. When I see people trashing the accomplish and the man, I can only wonder why another hunter would do that.
