RE: HUNTER CLASS IDEAS
A hunter class and a real hunter class?
Flights do not address all the real problems.
As I mentioned before, take the national level events out of part of this and look local. 1/3 of a class shooting above 300 or 400 scores are killing the local clubs targets. It does not matter what brand of targets. An 11 ring will only take so many impacts until it is shot up. In this class way to high of a percentage of impacts is within a 3-4 inch circle on and around the 11 ring.
Again, forget the national events. Think your club, and a Sunday local shoot.
This is a two pronged and tough problem. We want you shooting this well from a tree stand, but we are killing our own clubs.
Right now there is not very much of a difference between open and bowhunter release. In most cases it is just magnification. MBR guys do not shoot me this is a discussion.
I want to find ways to get a bigger participation in MBR from the top level HC guys. We all know they are or would be very quickly competitive in MBR.
The way I see it MBR should be the second biggest class. (If it were oriented around real life hunting set ups. Like HC is presently.
Now it is HC at some shoots and MBO at others.
Also understand that our HC rule limits are minimums and certainly not an average.
Now understand that you or I are NOT who will be deciding these potential changes. We are talking about them.
What we come out of this will be what is discussed by the IBO Board of Directors and they will decide any of the changes.
We got some good ideas here. Lets get some of them boiled down to real proposals.
On topic and on track.

Flights are just a greater extension of the present problem.
