How about two guns to handle anything? 30.06 has so many weights and types of bullets available it is ridiculous you can use 65 gr for varmits or 200 gr for elk. If you want some sho nuff down range energy and still have the choice of .30 cal bullets get a .300rum. Thats what I did, I can't think of another combo that could serve me better.
