I understand what you are saying about injuries affecting the opposite side. My dad shot a 5 X 1 last year. He had 5 nice points on one side and grew a weird spike on the other...likely an injury.
BUt this buck has deformities on both sides. I wish the picture were more clear so you could see what is really there. The base of his left antler is about 8" around! For a 1 year old deer, that is huge! The circumference of his main beam is probably less than 3 inches around. From that 8" base, protrudes his main beam, and two other points that are already about 3-4 inches high. If this is injury, then he had problems with both sides of his body because both antlers show abnormalities.
Again, I wish I had more clear pictures but I have no way of doing that with the video camera.
