RE: Need accessory advice, bow arriving next week
I steered away from the Trophy Ridge line of sights. The vertical pins block out too much of the target. The pro shop's favorite sight here is the HHA single pins. I looked at several different sights and kept an open mind but i ended up with the HHA OL-5000 single pin adjustable sight. if you're pulling 60-70 lbs, you dont have to hold high all the way out to 30 or 40 yards. no more deciding what pin to use. you can adjust it for longer ranges. very simple. As far as rests, the Trophy Ridge Drop Zone is a great fall away, as is the Trophy Taker Shakey Hunter. These are probably the two best fall away rests. If you want accuracy, silence, increased downrange penatration, as well as the benefit of never having to worry about the arrow falling off the rest, go with the Whisker Biscuit with the B2 biscuit. doesnt tear up vanes, and the advantage fall away's have over it is the 2 or 3 FPS you lose. i would take the ability of never worrying about the arrow falling off over a couple feet per second. IMHO the Doinker D2 line of stabilizers is the only way to go. I put a shorty hunter on mine, its only 4 inches long, and it takes away a ton of handshock. Quivers- Alpine Softloc is a one. Easily removed, no screws or pins, just rubber. other stuff- sims string leeches, sims limb savers, both help your bow in silence and vibration.
