I'm pretty sure that the outfitters you speak of trailer or herd them in from the surrounding states. Thats why all the outfitters are in the countys that border other states.

yep no deer in illinois, well at least none worth paying thousands of dollars for anyway. transporting large bucks has really raised the outfitters overhead. for all of the out of state hunters considering illinois, dont waste your time, i'm sure you can find a better deal in texas, wisc, iowa, mo., etc. anywhere but illinois.
