Default RE: synthitic stock or wood stock for mostly waterfowl

The wood stock is heaver and that helps with the recoil a little .The wood stock sounds quiter if hit not holow. The syn. stock will not split or swell decause of water. the syn. stock is lighter easer to haul to the blind. the syn. stock takes paint better if you want to camo it.

I think the syn. stock is a "little" less slipery when wet.

The 26" barrel is a little easer to use in a tight blind or layout boat. The 26" barrel is a little quicker to swingand a few oz lighter. The 28" barrel gets the muzzel blast a little frather away. The 28" barrel gives you a few extra fps and the extra 2" helps smouth out the swing.

That said you are the one laying out the $$$ and hunting with it ,all 4 choises are good.

I shoot a 26" syn. stocked 870 express with a Briley light mod extended choke for ducks & geese.
