I was sitting by a large fallen tree leaning on the trunk (it was about 4' tall), it was almost dark and I was wathcing 2 does approx. 15 yards away and getting closer. I was after their older brother so I was just enjoying watching themwhen I caught something out of the corner of my eye. I quickly turned my head to see I was about 6 inches away from being nose to nose with a big old coon crawling out of the midle of the stump I was leaning on. I am not sure who was more startled me, the coon or the deer that I almost ran into when I jumped up. The funny thing was nobody stayed arround to laugh about it with me
