Ok people just want to share my Black Bear hunt in Northern Saskatchewan with you. In mid June a group including myself and 5 other buddies went on a Black bear hunt in Northern Saskatchewan with CreeNation outfitters. The owner of CreeNation Outfitters is a old buddy of mine. He talked me into bringing a group up for a bear hunt and I sure am glad we went. Carlin"outfitter" is part Cree Indian so we were hunting untouched Native land about 3 hours north of Meadow lake. Out of the 6 guys we took 11 bears in 4 days. Because it is native land we were able to get 2 tags a piece. Out of our party there were 5 bow hunters and one gun hunter each hunter was able to take atleast one Pope and Young or Boone and Crocket Bear. There were a couple of us that took two Bear that made the Books. Besides the bear hunting the walleye fishing was ubelievable and we caught well over 1,000 fish between 6 guys,most of them between 18 and 24 inches. Here is the run down of the bear shot. 8 Black bear 4 of them Pope and Young one Boone and Crocket. 3 cinnamon phase bear 1 pope and Young one Boone and Crocket. The best part of all of this is that we have all of this on tape. We are currently making all of our footage into a DVD. Name of the DVD is "YES BEAR DO POOP IN THE WOODS" pretty catchy eh. I know the first response will be were are the pictures. I have some of the bear on the computer in Email format Jpeg and do not know how to get them over to the board. Any help would be appreciated. If you would like leave me a Email and I will send you pictures. I have been on alot of hunting tips but I would have to say this was the best one yet. We are all booked for next year same time same place. Little info here for people here that wonder if animals feel pain when shot by a arrow. The guy who shot the Boone&Crockett cinnamon phase bear put the first arrow directly through the guts the bears reaction to that was sat back on his butt scratched his belly a couple times and started eating again. The second arrow was a heart shot and the bear did not go 40 yards all on tape it was Awsome. I hope I am not rambling to long but just wanted to share the experience with people who would appreciate it. Just to give you a idea of the amount of Bear up there. After I shot my bear we went to retrieve it when we pulled it back out we got to the boat and there were 2 bear in the boat tearing open dog food bags that we used as bait for the hunt. We had not been gone from the boat more than 20 minutes
