The one that folds up is the Bullet. I got one here in ther box. I can't imagine the Viper slipping on a tree. Sounds a bit like incompetence to me. I actually had to grind the teeth down about 1/8" and round them off to get it to loosen up on some soft bark trees. Poplar to be exact. It's the best stand I've had in over 30 years by far.
