The ground squirrels caught hell this spring, first crack with the bow i had an ex traditional hunter with me and his black lab who apparently just 'loves gophers'. I connected on the first 9 of 10 shots on them with the furthest being a beaut 35 yrd....thhhhhWOP!, i ended the day shooting about 80% on them but was stretching some shots and also just getting tired from shooting lots. The guy was fairly amazed at what can be done with archery equipment these days...to say the least and that dog...holy crap, it shredded them gophers, nothin but red on the shoulders and top of head...a few shakes and all that was left was a hide, even caught 4 by herself.
