RE: So I got to work and the world crumbles
How many of you, disgusted with the damage picture, have ever made a bad shot on a deer. Gun or Archery they happen. I spined a buck with a horrible shot. I was on the ground and he came walking by uphill from me. I leaned out from behind the tree judged the distance and shot. Arrow went almost completely through the spine and had just fletchings showing. I grossly missguessed the yardage and shot way to high. I am sure someone could say "you did not practice enough on guessing yardage, you should know yardage not guess", "You should have been in a treestand with more ability to shoot at the proper humane angles to kill a deer." Bottom line is every hunter in the world has made a mistake I don't care who you are. Get over it move on.
It seems we have, on this BB, way to much holier than thou attitude. We are such stone throwers when we see even the slightest hint someone used bad judgement we pounce on him and have our way. We smell blood in the water and start the frenzy. Is it because the members here are too dumb to realize when they made a mistake and the smarter ones among us need to rudely tell them. I often wonder why the hunting crowd in general can get a bad reputation as "rednecks who just drink beer and shoot whatever runs in from their spotlight." I do not disagree with the redneck part and I am proud of that, but the ability to make decisions is in us all. When someone makes a mistake do not abuse them about it. You all are not as good as you act!
